The Rex Delicatessen, London

The Rex Delicatessen, located at 38 Bruton Place, has been created inside a Grade II listed former Victorian stable. This historic gem is found on a quiet, narrow street, moments from Mayfair's eternally busy Berkeley Square and is a further venture from Hamiltons Gallery owner Tim Jefferies and Chef Larry Jayasekara, who operate The Cocochine restaurant opposite, at No 27 Bruton Place.

The pair have approached the property with the same sensitivity as The Cocochine: restoring, enhancing, and preserving the history of its ground floor interior.

Pastries, cakes, heat-at-home hotpots, pies, Wellingtons, and daily changing sandwiches to-go are all house-made by a team of chefs led by Larry, with produce from the regenerative mixed farmland of the Rowler Estate in Northamptonshire. A selection of wines, artisanal produce, chutneys, jams, coffees and teas are also available.
