Villa Maroc, nestled in the charming coastal town of Essaouira, is a testament to the beauty of Moroccan culture and the vision of a passionate family. Founded in 1988 with avid surfer James Waley who used the property as a private friends and family retreat before transforming it into a hostel. In 1994 Mounia’s (owner) parents visited Essaouira, seeking new business opportunities and discovered Villa Maroc, then a small hotel. They made the decision to purchase the property and they transformed it into the enchanting space it is today.
